Civil Rights, ADA, Accommodations, & Copyright

Civil Rights, ADA compliant documents, and following appropriate copyright laws are critical to the communications work of the Cooperative Extension Service. Below are resources available to ensure compliance.

  • Civil Rights: Even though every county extension office is responsible for keeping civil rights files up-to-date, all New Mexico State University Cooperative Extension Service employees are responsible for civil rights. More resources are available at the Civil Rights Resource Center.
  • ADA Compliance: How to prepare PDF files for web use by making them ADA compliant using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. See the ADA Guide.
  • Accommodations: For information on responding to requests for accommodations for your outreach and Extension programs, visit the Extension Civil Rights Resource Center.
  • Copyright: Information on copyright is available at Copyright Essentials. This site also lists NMSU guidelines.
